What we do
studio peeki is based between Naarm/Melbourne and Mparntwe/Alice Springs, and has been producing animation since 2021.
We have worked with Aboriginal Art Centres including Hermannsburg Potters Aboriginal Corporation, Yarrenyty Arltere Artists, Tangentyere Artists, Iwiri Aboriginal Corporation, and Engawala Women's Artists, as well as organisations such as Original Power and Megafauna Central Alice Springs.
We are non-Indigenous creatives with extensive experience working alongside First Nations artists and organisations. We believe animation is a powerful medium for sharing messages, connecting communities, and educating audiences in ways that are engaging and entertaining for both children and adults. It is also a meaningful means of strengthening Indigenous languages, celebrating culture, and amplifying voices from a broad range of communities.
Many of our projects have been supported through Indigenous Languages Australia and other funding streams. We understand how important securing funding can be, and are happy to assist with grant applications.

Who we are
Our team is made up of Nelson Armstrong and Vito Lucarelli.
Nelson specialises in the visual side of our work. He holds a degree in Animation and Interactive Media from RMIT, with a background in freelance animation and roles as a Men's Development Coordinator and Studio Coordinator at Hermannsburg Potters Aboriginal Corporation in Central Australia.
Vito is our resident expert in all things sound, bringing training and experience in music production, sound design, and location recording. They also work as a Project Coordinator at ICTV and produces music for local artists in Mparntwe/Alice Springs.
